Our first big trip together; in 2½ years by train from Cham/Switzerland via Austria, Eastern-Europe, Russia, Mongolia and China to Hong-Kong. From there, through Southeast-Asia, Australia and New Zealand to the South-Pacific. Then via Asia back to Switzerland.
11/1993 - 05/1994
We are Flatmates of Renate + Thomas and get first temporary jobs.
06/1994 - 05/1999
We live together with different, interesting flatmates in Lindencham, work and save for our goal ...
We "dropped out" 1999
Aged 37 and 39, we "dropped out" on May 12th, 1999, because "normal" life seems to be too monotonous to us, and we value our freedom more than security. Since then, we're travelling slowly and joyfully around the globe. The experience of new landscapes, cultures and culinary delights is much more rewarding to us than the success obtained by the restless fighting of today's common prestige- and career-thinking. Furthermore, we take time to practise naturism regularly, as we feel best nude with nature. Instead of being addicted to working, we’re now incurable addicted to travelling, and this with delight, no matter if this virus ends harmless, or even lethal. So far, it has brought us to the following enriching destinations:
05/1999 - 12/2001
Voyage of experience and naturism across  Europe with our Renault Twingo. Between Gibraltar and the North Cape we visit: Portugal, Spain, France, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. We enjoyed quite often a naturist's life, especially in France, Spain and Croatia, and even in Scandinavia.

Voyage of experience and naturism through  Canada, in between one week side trip to Urs in the  Dominican Republic.

Voyage of naturism: A summer in our birthday suits in the Netherlands and on the French Atlantic coast. Also shortly to Belgium and Luxembourg.

Voyage of experience: We spend winter in Switzerland (Grisons, Ticino and the Bernese Oberland) and  Germany (Lake Constance district).

Voyage of experience through  Chile. Thereby, we visit the capital Santiago, as well as the the Atacama Desert in the country's north.

Voyage of experience and naturism around big parts of Australia. Thereby we visit Tasmania, traverse the red centre and drive, apart from Queensland, once more around the entire fifth continent.

Voyage of experience through  Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
05/2019 - 03/2020
Once again: Voyage of experience and naturism through Europe. Thereby we visit France, Austria, Hungary and Germany. Especially in France, we enjoy "vivre nu et manger bien"; eye- and dental repairs are on the agenda in Hungary.

all may be, nothing must be...
In the meantime (2024), more than a quarter of a century has passed since we dropped-out 1999 at the age of 37 and 39 respectively. During this time, plus 5 previous years, we’ve visited 6 continents, 77 countries or autonomous regions, 35 Pacific islands, as well as parts of Greenland and some of the most impressive islands in the North Atlantic. We still have more travel plans, all of it may be, nothing must be, if tomorrow is a good day to die, no worries – we lived our dreams, indeed!
